Reside in and attend an accredited public, post-secondary education program in Texas. Post-secondary education programs are defined as any accredited vocational or trade schools, two year colleges, or four year universities.
Applicants must be a current/former youth who experienced foster care.
Applicants must be 26 years of age or younger at time of application
Applicants must have completed high school or obtained a GED
Applicants must be accepted into an accredited post-secondary program with the intent to enroll in a minimum of part time status
Applicants must remain in good academic standing
Applicants must send proof of FAFSA application (if eligible)
Applicants must be willing to commit to participating in a mentoring program, and a minimum of quarterly check-ins with Foster Angels of Central Texas Program Director.
Applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation from a teacher, mentor, counselor, supervisor, caseworker or other professionals.
